Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I remember my dad was taking me to school and we were listening to the local radio station. I remember they came on with a special announcement, cutting into one of the songs. I remember thinking- why would they cut off this song. I love this song! I couldn't believe how selfish I sounded after what I heard about what was going on in New York City at that same moment. On the radio they said that a helicopter had crashed into one tower of the World Trade Center. That brought me back to the time that I went to Manhattan with my family on a vacation. I remember the line for the Statue of Liberty being so long that we ended up going to the top of the World Trade Center. I remember going through the huge doors of that building and just being in awe of how big it was. I think my first reaction when I heard the announcement of the first crash was just total shock. It didn't make sense to me how something so big and powerful be ruined by something like that. When I got to school I remember everyone talking about it. I never thought it was that big of a deal and neither did anyone else. Then I went into my first period Chemistry class and saw the TV. I was so... it's almost an inexplainable feeling of what I felt. I saw the people running through the smoky streets and firefighters coming together from everyone and running into buildings. It just didn't make sense to me. It almost didn't seem real, like it was maybe a movie. I remember thinking about all of the families and how so many people all over the world would be effected by what I just saw happen on TV in those few minutes. I will never forget that day, I don't think any of us ever will. It's just strange to think that I witnessed something so big and something that will be remembered forever.
