Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: it started out like most mornings, watching the today show as i always do (my morning staple show), the only difference was that this morning, i was overly tired, for as my dog had given birth to a liter of 5 pups through the night, but needless to say that did not stop my 1 yr. old from his early rise...see, his daddy had just left for work, and he almost always gives him a kiss bye bye...so our day has begun...my mother, brother, son & myself sat in the living room, when i heard matt lauer mention something about the world trade center, then they cut immediately to a commercial, i knew then that something was terribly wrong...then minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, month by month, we watched as the horrible events of that day changed our country forever..as katie couric returned after the commercial, we saw our first pictures of the tower...my brother said "its terrorists", my son was riding his rocking cow, laughing aloud, my mother said "oh todd, no it couldnt be", i did not know what to think, just then we watched the other plane go thru the second tower...we all sat in disbelief...today it has been a year, in some ways it has gone quickly, but i'm sure that for all of the grieving families, it has been the longest year of their lives...i can only imagine the pain that they are all going thru, and i pray for all of them that this day of remembrance has been also one of healing. my thoughts are with them all, everyday. through this all, i feel the country has more of a closeness, more patriotism, more love, more respect, more gratitude...why does it always take a tradgedy, for us all to realize how lucky we are to live here. i have been keeping a journal for my son, since the day i found out i was pregnant...that day i wrote "the world will never be the same", i hope i will never have an entry such as that ever again...lorri lee iglar 9/11/02 Dublin Core The Dublin Core metadata element set is common to all Omeka records, including items, files, and collections.
