We had CNN in Brazil, but I could not rem. what channel. My friend told me, and I watched in horror. At the time, we were 4 hours ahead of US time. I thought of my children living in our home in St. Louis, and immediately called them. They were terrified. We kept in touch all day long, my children telling me the latest news. It is the only time I can rem. in 36 years of marriage that my husband and I ate dinner in front of the TV. I had a tremendous desire to be at home with my family and with my fellow Americans.
