911DA Story: Story
When i woke up that morning my dad was on the phone and watching CNN. I was telling him goodbye because i was leaving for school, but it seemed like he didn't hear me. The bus ride was the same except for some 6th graders who had a better understanding of what happened. When i got to school, all the teachers had the news on in their rooms. We watched it for the first half hour of school, then she explained to us what happened. even though i was only 9, i felt scared because i have a lot of family in New York City, and i had just lost my mother less that 2 months before. We never really did get to classwork that day. My friends and I talk about 9/11 some of them almost seem racist to anybody from the middle east, but we know they're not bad people, and we're not perfect either. 9/11 changed the world and now i'm old enough to realize it.
