In Viet Nam it was only $25,000. Are we giving extra compensation to the men killed in friendly fire recently? These numbers are all ridiculous. Men who died in combat also left families, who were expected to get on with their lives with the compensation deemed necessary at that time. I don't think they should get anymore than military families, and the disabled should also have to apply for benefits like the rest of us do, at their state offices.
