Attachment 1:
Here we are at the "eleventh hour".
I received notice from the Justice Dept. on Thanksgiving Eve, at 4:30 PM, that you were seeking "comments" with regard to
the aforementioned program.
Not only was the call placed at a poor time, but I was told that if I had any comments that I had to submit them by Monday
the 26th of November.
I am dumbfounded at the lack of compassion shown by the Justice Department to expect anyone to have a clear head to be
able to read through "legalese" during a holiday. The holiday is Thanksgiving not Halloween.
My wife and neice were killed in Tower One.
All I had on my mind was how I was going to get through Thanksgiving Day with my eighty year old sister in-law who lost
both her sister and daughter.

YES I would like very much like to comment

I read through it brefly and would like to make two comments at this time.
I feel that a formula be set up; for representitives of those who died only; where by an amount can be calculated and not be able to be refuateted.
I also feel that monies donated by the American people and distrubited should not be in any way deducted from the compensation covered under this Program, nor should it be taxed in any way The American people were "up in arms with the RED CROSS for not distrubiting all of the donated funds. How do you think
they would react to the United States Government doing the same.
What would the world think of our governments lack of compassion to those of us so personally touched. Would we not fall
right into the hands of those who perpertrated this hanes act by showing that our government is generous on on hand and
wants i't pound of flesh with the other.
On the tombstone; where I will have the urn presented to me as a synbol of my wife interned; will be:
WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, PATRIOT
I feel very strongly that all those who were murdered on September the 11th died in the name of there country and are patriots in the truest sence of the word.

Should you grant me additional time to review the documents and comment, I can be reached at the following numbers in the
following order:

Thank you, from a man who lost his wife of 36 years and is sitting alone at home, with the advent of the Christmas Hoildays
ahead, trying to smile for his grandchildren.
