Thursday, March 21, 2002 7:00 PM Victim Compensations I have just received an email from a friend letting me know that the gay and lesbian victims of 9/11 will receive no compensation from the government. I also understand that unborn children and illegal aliens will be covered under the plan. What I don't understand is how can the government look one way for a group of people and then turn around and look the other group straight in the eyes and tell them that they are out of luck. That day in September affected all types of Americans. Those people who were taken from us that day were just plain Americans. Not African-Americans, Italian-Americans, or Gay-Americans, they were Americans. How un-American can the Government be, I guess I will find out really soon.
