Monday, March 18, 2002 7:48 PM Gay Victims Partners It is unconscionable that the US Government has decided that the life partners of gay and lesbian victims of the tragic events that occurred on 9/11 are invisible. The fund proposes to pay funds to non-citizen and unborn victims' families, but not to the partners of some of the people who gave their lives so that others could be spared? Given that Gays and Lesbians have no way to register their relationships, it seems incredibly unjust to penalize them for not being in a legally recognized relationship. Stand United.....heros are heros.....love is love....enough is enough......stop the prejudice that fuels hatred. Hatred caused the awful events of 9/11.....have we learned nothing from this tragedy?
