I am saddened that my country (which I love greatly) is discriminating against the significant others of gays and lesbians by not disbursing 9/11 victim funds to them. If my government is using the age old rationale that such partners are not legally married, then these funds should be distributed to non-governmental researchers in their quest to find a cure and/or vaccine for AIDS/HIV. There MUST be a memorial to honor those gay and lesbian HEROES.
