Kenneth Feinberg made some pretty upsetting and ignorant comments on "Meet the Press" on March 10, 2002. He said that gay and lesbian family members and loved ones will not benefit from the fund. The US government is willing to break laws for illegal immigrants but is not willing to abide by laws and give money to rightful recipients. It is a disgrace to America and everything we stand for, mainly equality, that some heroes are thought of as better than others. Many gays and lesbians died heroically and patriotically on September 11 and it is our duty to honor them. Please don't make their death be in vain. This incident should have taught us to bond together, because of our similarities, instead of separating us even more. I guarantee this demeaning action will be remembered when it is time to vote.
