Sunday, March 17, 2002 12:44 AM 9/11 fund Dear Sirs: I am writing to tell you that I believe it discriminatory to exclude gay partners from benefit of the 9/11 fund. There were many gay heroes as well as victims of the 9/11 disaster and for their surviving partners to be expressly excluded in this way is as un-American as all the conspiracies that have taken place to hurt Americans. I still can't believe our government would not treat all Americans as equals in the year 2002. Can we think of any other forms of government that discriminate? Are we now fighting any past regimes that discriminate? Are we any better than all these? I will continue to hope we are. Please do not discriminate against any one in this time of crisis.
