Thursday, March 21, 2002 7:09 PM Give me a break! The amount of money that these people are getting is beyond ridiculous. I DON'T think people should be super wealthy off the cost of taxpayers! Normally a person should have ten times their income in life insurance. I feel most victims had life insurance. An average of $1.6 million! GIVE ME A BREAK! I'm so sorry it happened but people die everyday! What about the soldier that lost his life due to friendly fire? should the Government give the family a million or maybe two million? what about OK city victims? People should not PROFIT from this! Yes they are PROFITING! Some families are getting filthy rich off this tragedy! Then some people have the NERVE to say it's not enough! It should be ok to get funds from private sources but I don't think it's the Government place to pay this money. It wasn't the governments fault this happened! Then the Government needs to compensate those families that lost loved ones to drunk drivers, war efforts, robberies, random shootings and what about shootings in the schools? Compensate those also!
