I am truly alarmed at what this nation has come to - as if saying that because you are gay or lesbian you don't count, yet illegal aliens do count. I contributed to the fund and expected that my donation would be used fairly, not in such a way that discriminates against a very valuable segment of our society. My daughter went to the World Trade Center and volunteered for a week (an experience that still shakes her to the core) - I supported her in her work believing that she was helping all victims. Please consider extending benefits to life partners and families of those who were gay and lesbian and also victims and heroes. Thank you for your understanding.
