This report charges that the  EPA had &quot;abandoned its responsibilities for cleaning up buildings…that are contaminated or that are being re-contaminated, as a result of the uncontrolled chemical releases from the World Trade Center terrorist attack.&quot; While OSHA had concluded that all dust &quot;must be presumed to be asbestos containing material&quot; and must be cleaned up according to national standards, the report alleges that young children were still being exposed to airborne pollutants in homes and schools and that further efforts were needed to correct these conditions.
