I do not believe the government of the United States should be getting into the business of insuring peoples life. Is the United States government prepared to insure the lives of people killed in future terrorist attacks possibly to the point that it cannot function any longer? Did the people in Oklahoma City receive the same benefits? I believe the American people have to be responsible for their own personal welfare. Any of those people killed on 09-11-01 could have died that day and they should have had their futures already figured out. Life insurance is available to anyone who feels its important to have. I feel that greed has come into play here. Our government was not responsible for this attack and shouldn't be held accountable. This was not an attack against our military. The people who honestly may need help should get some but to guarantee each one receive millions of dollars is unreasonable. Maybe life insurance and basic life fundamentals should be a basic requirement in the pursuit of an education.
