Kenneth Feinberg says partners of gay and lesbian victims will be eligible only if their state recognizes their same-sex unions. Fat chance of a lot of that happening. Has Mr. Feinberg ever been to Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Utah or Wyoming? We can die like others and we can suffer, endure pain and loss like others. But our partners in life cannot be recognized and receive compensation like others. We can be heroes and show great strength and courage like others. But we're not looked at and treated like others.
