I t seems it me that they do a job which comes with the risk of injury or death in the course of normal work duties. People ,who work in office buildings, do not think that they face the possibiltiy of being incinerated by terrorists. I also resent references to the generosity of the government in establishing the victims compensation fund. I think part of the motivation was self-serving. This is wrongful death and a liability issue to me. It is an attempt to protect the airlines,who are at fault for their lack of security. These terrorist were not carrying plastic explosives which could not be detected but metal weapons. The government, itself, is at fault. The F.B.I. and the C.I.A. were asleep on the job and President Clinton was too busy chasing women around the Oval Office while terrorists lived among us. Today, in a lawsuit against Starbucks, a jury awarded 3.5 million dollars to a person who received a serious burn to the hand and the families of the WTC disaster must deduct life insurance payments from their compensation. Is that justice?
