First off I need to say that the people providing you comments are not
fully aware of what is REALLY happening with their heartfelt donations. I
know personally, because I lost my MOM in the tragedy. People see a figure
of $1 billion donated and think....OK 1 billion divided by 5000 equals 200k
per family. Seems like we have been taken care of.....right??? WRONG!!!!
I would like to let the pubic and the DOJ know that I have received a total
of 9,000 from the Red Cross to help pay ALL of my Mother's expenses. So
PLEASE don't think we are walking away millionaires. These charities need
to be investigated to see what they really do with the extremely generous
donations made by warm and caring individuals. And let me also mention
that to ask the opinion of people who have no idea what our family and the
thousands of families like us, have personally gone through, is
irresponsible. They do not have the slightest idea what this has done to
us. My sister had to be hospitalized for several weeks due to this
tragedy. She lost 25 lbs and was vomiting and passing blood. My other
sister left a 125k and year job because she cannot even function anymore.
These people who are making these opinions on MY life and what I am
entitled to, should try for one millisecond to live a day in my life since
September 11th. Maybe they can try and think of their own precious
mothers, who nurtured and cared and raised them, being maliciously cut into
pieces and left amid the wreckage that once was the WTC. Then have that
compounded by knowing that what is left of her may very well wind up in a
DUMP. Think of THAT before you pass judgment on me and what I have to go
through on a daily basis! NO ONE BUT THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS IN THIS
TRAGEDY CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH ADEQUATE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS
APPROPRIATE!! In addition I had heard that distribution of the monies from
this fund may be linked to future earnings on the individual if they would
have reached retirement age. Well my mom was 62 years old and only had
three more years to work. Does that mean that her life is worth less than
some 30 year old? My mother was the heart and sole of my family and our
hearts have been ripped to shreds. Do not judge the distribution on age.
We all loved these people the same. We all feel the same pain.

May God Bless all the victims
