Saturday, January 26, 2002 8:47 PM Greedy!! I am so disappointed with the outlandish greed shown by every one of the WTC victims' families. I cannot believe that they seem to whine and cry,not about their loss; but EXPECT all to pour money into their coffers. This is outrageous! They do NOT deserve anything more than any number of us that face the loss of a loved one. It was a horrible, horrible thing that happened that day; but...sure did show the worst in the ones left behind. They can't have had time to grieve, as all their thoughts have been on the almighty $ signs. I lost my Police Officer husband in 1968, leaving me with 4 little ones. I never expected anyone to...bail us out. We had insurance, and though it was just what we could afford, we made it. Noone wanted to make sure that my children got a college education, (who knows how many would have if things would have been different?) house payments, etc. We survived with social security for each child, as they will receive, and just being strong and working to move forward, and we did. Where is the back bone of these people. I will tell you where...our President came forward and promised that all us other taxpayers would be happy to hand them money, and then....tax exemption for 2 years. This is abominable!!! These people need to be focusing on helping their children thru this loss, and not thru money. I just don't know how to say all I feel, but certainly hope you get the idea. I am so, so upset over this. I certainly think these survivors have pulled off the...heist of the century.
