Discrimination against gays and lesbians is un-American.
I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September
11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits as heterosexual
spouses. Why is it that the Dept. of Justice has decided some American
heroes are now more equal than others? Please reverse your position on not
compensating same sex partners who suffered tragic losses on September 11.
Their grief and loss are no less acute than other Americans who lost loved
ones that day.
