It is taken by me standing outside the JCPenny store at the Westfield Shopping Town here in Vancouver, Washington, USA on the morning of September 11th, 2001 at around 10:30AM PDT (1:30PM Eastern time). The notice on the doors is a somber reminder of the affects that those events were having on everyone everywhere that day. The notice reads: "Westfield Shopping Town has made the decision to close the mall this business day Tuesday September 11th. We will re-open for business at 10:00 AM on Wednesday September 12th.
