I had just packed up my folks' apartment to have their belongings shipped to my home in Miami--we moved them here after illnesses and age made it necessary to have them nearby. These photos were taken as my last views of "home", which I expect I'll not see much of in my lifetime since my home base is now with me here. It was an emotional leavetaking, I felt for the first time in the 25 years I'd been away from New York that I was truly leaving home. The Big Apple was and always remained home to me.
