As of this writing individuals have submitted more than 1,500 correspondences. September 11 Email September 11 Email: Body The basic content, as unstructured text; sometimes containing a signature block at the end. This morning there have been confirmed terrorist attacks against the United States of immense proportion, including incidents in New York City and Washington D.C. As many of you may have discovered already, telephone lines are almost completely inaccessible due to the heavy volume of calls. Internet connections are also being affected, and ALL airline travel across the country has been grounded. Many of us have family and friends in the cities where these tragic events are unfolding, and there is a feeling of helplessness when communication to and from those areas is impossible. At the same time, for your safety, we urge you NOT to attempt to leave campus -- we are working to identify the most reliable means of communication possible to help keep you informed as the day progresses. Counselors are available in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Center for students who would like to gather and talk throughout the day.
