By way of background for ten years I worked for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which was headquartered in the World Trade Center. Since that time I've stayed in touch with many of my former colleagues. I'm happy to report I've heard that many of these people survived. I even had an e-mail from someone who was in the building at the time of the disaster. There are still many others who I've not heard from.
