Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: What happened on September 11, 2001 still feels like a bad dream, like there was no way that this could ever really happen. I remember driving to work that morning and catching the end of a news report about a plane crashing into a building. I then began switching channels to find out the rest of the story. When I came into the office the TV's were on and everyone was surrounded around them, tears streaming down faces. To my horror I heard the rest of the story that I had missed that morning. I felt an ache rising in my stomach because I never thought in my lifetime I would see such a horrific display of hatred and evil and at the same time such love and patriotism. This is a date that will live on in my heart and has forever affected me. I will remember this day as the day that America united and showed the rest of the world what we are made of and no matter what happens we will always unite and rise aboveit! God Bless America!
