If you can spare $50 or $100 to help the country, it's not a bad idea.

Hope you all are safe. Please check in if you have a chance...and stay
 safe...

 Dear Friend of MoveOn,

After Fridays world-wide day of remembrance, it is now time for all of
us to determine how we can make a difference. We'd like to invite you to
 help hone MoveOn's strategy.

Weve mounted an online discussion forum for your feedback. Please give
your suggestions and read and rate the suggestions of others. Go to:

 http://www.actionforum.com/forum/index.html?forum_id=220

The issue: What must we do through MoveOn to support a
world-wide response that will end terrorism?

 Your participation is greatly appreciated.

 Sincerely,

 -Wes, Joan, Peter and Carrie

P.S. We've attached some notes about blood donations and support for
victims aid organizations below. We've also included a patriotic
idea that's being passed around the net.
 _____

 GIVING BLOOD

MoveOn has received notes of thanks from blood banks around the country.
They request we remind our members that the need for blood will continue
 for weeks.

Please donate today, and tell all of your friends and family.
You can call the American Red Cross at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543).
You can also check your local phone books to see where you can donate
in your area, or go to Yahoo Yellow Pages and look up your
 local "American Red Cross".

The Yahoo yellow pages are on the web at:

 http://yp.yahoo.com/

 CONTRIBUTIONS FOR VICTIMS AID

Amazon.com is offering one-click contributions to the American Red Cross
 through their website:

 http://www.amazon.com

Working Assets is offering to match contributions to a number of good
 non-profit organizations giving aid at:

 http://www.giveforchange.com/cgi-bin/GiveForChange.storefront

These websites and partner organizations are making it really easy to
 help out.

 A PATRIOTIC IDEA

The following message is being passed around on the net:

On Monday, the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ are going to reopen.
There is great uncertainty in the financial markets right now. The
institutional investors, the arbitrageurs, the short sellers and others
will be covering their collective you know whats -- which could well
drive the markets lower and play right into the hands of the terrorists
 who thrive on instability.

But what if individual Americans stepped in as buyers on Monday. What if
every red blooded American who cares deeply about the need for the United
States to weather this storm and remain a beacon of hope in a tough world,
bought a few shares of their favorite stock on Monday. 50 million Americans
buying 20 shares of the stock of their choice would result in a billion
share push to the plus side. And it would signal the world that we will
not be cowed and we will not lose faith in our institutions.

If you like this idea, pass it on.
