OK- 8:45 this morning I am in my own world crossing w26th street here in Manhattan, worried about bills, boyfriends etc.. I look up and see a big 747, as far as I was concerned, flying really really low. I think WOW he's flying really, really low. Now on 8th ave and 26th street we have a view of the towers, but I don't look up, I am a new yorker and I need a cab. Couldn't get one so I take the subway. I get up the stairs at 8th and 14th street and walk down Greenwich ave. As I get to 7th ave people are standing around looking south. I look up Tower One, the north tower, is FLAMING, but only abot 20 floors. I thought the fire started in the middle of the night and they couldn't get in under control but everyone was alright. I open my store and go back to the corner and by that time Tower 2 was on fire. I thought it caught fire from the other one. I go back to my store in a PANIC. Bear in mind, I am at the corner by St Vincent Hospital, where later the victums were taken. People are taken pictures and we had NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON!!!!!! I go back to my store turned on the radio and they report a commercial flight has crashed into tower 1. My family is calling, my old boyfriend is calling, people start running.... tower 2 collaspes. I didn't see it and I thank GOD i didn't. My boss called, I said I was closing. I ran down the street, peopl were crying and I was crying we didn't know ewhat to do. As I walked crying, people stoppped, they started saying that ONE was crumbling. I didn't turn around. I couldn't watch. PLEASE PRAY FOR US!!!!! I am so scared. What's going to happen tonight?
