Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: We live about two and a half hours from Kansas City. Independence is a suburb of Kansas City. My daughter was to fly back to her home in Virginia that morning. She was putting things in her rental car and turned the ignition key on and heard that the world trade center had been hit with something or maybe bombed. She came running back into my sister's home and said "turn the television on". The first thing that I saw was a plane hitting the trade center. We just all froze in disbelief. She was here about another 2 weeks and finally rented a car and drove home. I will never forget where we were.
