Dear Mike, it´s good (very good) to hear, that you´re alive ... btw I can´t imagine that you´re OK, having witnessed all that. But again it´s good to read that you make the best of it. I hope it will be most supportive to you (and your friends and family) if I tell you how we feel back in Germany. Sandra and myself, we are both very sad and shocked. Partly due to the excellent broadcasting and communication systems, that deliver real-time and very real and shocking news and pictures. At worked we interupted a quiete important meeting, because we were in the only meeting room with TV and nobody could hesitate to watch the incredible news. I am shocked not because I have lived in NYC but we have friends and relatives there. But most of all I think we are shocked because terrorism of that kind is new - even for us Germans. As you know, during the 70s and 80s Germany has seen brutal /left wing terrorism. However in most of the cases the terrorist targets were symbolic persons in politics and the economy. Never as I can imagine, so many innocent people lost there lives and the value distroyed was so high. We are very much with you and if there´s anything that you need ... please let us know.
