Michael just was able to get through to me by cell phone. He and David Frank are together and are being evacuated even further from the area. Both are a bit dirty and tired but OK. Both got out just before our tower collapsed. Needless to say we lost everything else but that seems of little consequence now that we now that all of our employees (friends) made it out of the building safely. Mike confirmed that the Ingram Micro folks got out ahead of him and he is of the belief that all of our customers are safe as well.

Karen, Mike's wife, is obviously very shaken but says she is doing OK. We really thought we lost both Mike and David as we watched our tower crash to the ground. I am sure both got a little winded running down 78 flights of stairs but thank goodness the report from here is good and that all are safe. Mike pressed me for a quota reduction so this event has not changed his sense of humor at least.

Will keep you posted.

Rich

Thank you Rich for the update.

Further:

I have been in blackberry contact with Joe Santoro, he and David Frank were there to have a meeting at 9 am. in our office. Joe is safe, currently 10 blocks away from the building. We do not yet know how David and Mike are since the building has collapsed. We will keep updating as we received information.

I have received so many calls I thought it important to update all of you on what we know so far. Our building was the tower that was hit by the first plane and it hit above our office which is on the 78th floor. The plane hit from the North side and we face south. We had a sales training meeting in progress or about to start (9:00) with one of our VARs, AMC. Mike Hingson was in the building early which we have confirmed. Kevin Washington was one train stop away and Tony Comito and Steve Poaletti are OK and were also not yet in the building.

Michael called his wife Karen just minutes after the first plane struck to say he was not hurt and was being evacuated. This will obviously take a long time and we pray that he is OK. Karen and I will reamin in close contact until we hear from Mike that he is safe. As soon as I get an update on Michael and our customers I will let you know immediatley. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike (and Rosell) and everyone in both buildings.

Rich
