September 11 Email September 11 Email: Body The basic content, as unstructured text; sometimes containing a signature block at the end. hey julie, thanks for the thoughts. everyone here is ok (as far as i know). they evacuated our building as soon as the pentagon was attacked (they evacuated most of downtown), and we had to walk 4-5 miles home since the traffic was gridlocked AND the subway was closed. i sort of freaked out and sara and i drove to Ocean City, MD on the beach about 150 miles away and stayed overnight. I just got back in. I have a couple friends in new york (both are ok), one worked in the wtc and saw the second plane crash and people jumping from the building. the other worked about two blocks away and said she was "running for her life" when the buildings came down. It is all so surreal julie. i'm still very shaken.
