NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. It was tuesday September 11, 2001 and I was on my way to morning practice for water polo. It was like any other morning until I heard the news. My coach told us what had happened. It really scared me and I didn't know what to think. Through out the day it just got worse an the news and then I heard about the Pentagon. My dad was in D.C. I was scared. Iwanted to know if he was alright and I anything else would happen to that area. We didn't hear from him until the next day and he was fine. That whole day I felt like I was in a daze. I remember coming home from school and crying with my mom. We watched the news the whole day and I began to feel more and more unsafe. I realized nothing would be the same again, our whole nation was changing and it scared me. After that day I found a new love for my country and I now know what it really means to love your country.
