I turned the TV on just when the second one hit. At first I didn't understand the magnitude of it all until the plane went into the Pentagon. I remember calling my sister crying and at that point I realized our world had changed forever. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for being able to say that I'm an American. But some days I'm afraid to turn on the TV or radio because of what I'll see. I can honestly say that that was the first time I felt as if every American was mybrother and sister. I felt a comroderie with every person in our country and I believe we all felt that way. We need to remember that every day of our lives. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Right after the attacks happened, I went out and put my flag up and it has flown every day since and will continue to fly.
