NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. While the World Trade Center was being crashed into i was just waking up to get ready for school. When i woke up my mom came into my room and told me that the World Trade Center was being attacked. i had no idea what the World Trade Center was but once i saw the attack on the news i knew what it was and realized what was happening. i didnt know what to do. it was so hard to watch all those people jumping out of the buildings and runnig all over the place. I couldnt stand seeeing all the smoke and not being able to see ther poeple and what was happening. my best friends dad was suppose to be on that plane. i didnt know for about a week if he was on the plane or was alright. He is a second dad to me and it was killing me not to know what was going on with him. My best friend and i were so worried we couldnt sleep. it was really hard for us to deal with this attack because so many peopele died nas so many people didnt know what was going on with the people missing. it was really hard to see all the bodies. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. yes it has. i have had a lot of things go on since then. the January after september 11th happened we had a family member in the hospital and we had the hardest time getting on a plane to get to her. we were so upset and they kept on asking to search us and take off our shoes. my mom was so upset she just kepther shoes off for the rest of the time. we both were crying and didnt know what to do. we finnaly made it but it was a horibble experience in the airports. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? i think that we should remeber all the people that sacraficed their lives for the lives of others. it took all the firefighters very big effort to try to save all the people that were stuck or what not. i think we should remember all the people that died doing the the attack. i also think we should remember all the people that were on the planes and that tried tob help others and save the plane. and all the people that had no idea what was happening then thy were hit. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? yes i did. my cousin, others and i went to a corner of a signal and stayed all day to fly flags around and have people honk. we stayed for morning to night. he is a soilder and was very upset about this. we were very proud of what we did and help[ed people remember.
