Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: the day was special for us. it was our sons first day of preschool. he waited patiently all summer for this day. I drove him to school with his 'Bob the Builder' lunchbox and left him with the teachers. That was tough. I got in the car and started it. The radio announcer said that a plane had hit the WTC. I thought that it was just a bad crash. i drove home. Then the second plane hit. We wanted so badly to go take our son out of preschool..The only thing that stopped us was the fact that the preschool was in the basement of a church. as much as we wanted to go save our son from the horror of this reality, my husband and i decided that he was in the best place possible.. playing with other little kids. we sat transfixed to the tv for what seemed like hours watching this horrific event. then it was time to shut off the tv and go get our son..we got him and put on a happy face and asked him all asbout his day.. we saved our fear and horror for after he went to bed.. we didnt need to scare him. little ones don't need to know about all these disgusting terrorists in the world . we'll tell him about it all when he's older. He never went to that preschool again.. it closed the next day due to financial hardships.we kept him home for another year instead of putting him into another school. if i had my way, he'd never grow older than three.he is four now and about to start preschool again.. i hope we have better memories this time.
