Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I had been at work since 5:30am and I was on my first break at work when I heard on the radio that planes had flown into the twin towers. I could not believe what I was hearing it was as though it was a bad dream and I had not woke up yet. It wasn't until others around me started talking about it that I realized something horrible had happened. I was in shock as my son was in boot camp and I could not communicate with him to find out if he was safe and OK. I was scaried to death probably not as much as I was in disbelieve and stunned. All kind of thoughts ran though my head my families safety first and for most. I couldn't wait to get home and when I did I turned on the TV and saw the distruction for the first time I broke down and cried hard like no other cry before. When the year marker past I was greatful to still have my family and friends around me, after all with out them life is a void not easily filled. So my heart goes out to thoughs who have lost someone in this past tragic year.
