Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in 6th grade on September 11, 2001. I remember during recess another girl in my class came up to me and told me a plane had hit the white house and the president was dead. Obviously, that was wrong but the whole day we were confused about what was happening. Our teachers were all talking to each other and kids were being taken out of class by their parents. None of our teachers would tell us what was happening, we heard them mention the World Trade Center, but i didn't know what it was. It wasn't until i saw the video footage on the news that i knew it was the Twin Towers. I went to a catholic school so in class all we did was pray the rosary. My mom didn't want me in school in all the confusion of what was happening so she picked me up at lunch. My dad works in DC so i was concerned but when i got home he was alread y there, leaving shortly after the plane hit the pentagon. I will never forget 9/11 and it greatly changed the way i thought about the world and other countries.
