I was watching the "Today Show" when the first tower was hit at approximately nine minutes before nine. I watched in horror as the news broadcasters suggested possible theories for the plane crash. Then, without a break in the broadcast, I watched as the second plane hit the second tower. Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I think the lives of everyone in the United States and throughout the world have changed because of the events of 9/11. We have lost the sense of security and well-being, taken for granted as an American citizen. It is much more believable and possible that innocent people anywhere, at anytime could be destroyed by random or planned acts of terrorists. What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? First of all, the cowardly and evil acts committed by people believing they have a right to do this. We should never forget the acts of heroism by NYPD police and firefighters and ordinary citizens. We can never be complacent about our national safety. Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes. I can't say that it has because I have always felt the same way about our nation's symbol, whether it be flown on September 11 or Armistice Day or any other day of remembrance.
