Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My husband and I were getting ready for work when the news flash came over TV. We went to CNN and watched in disbelief. We are both at retirement age and have lived through the years when our country was at war many times. Have had our fathers serving their country in the military during these wars. But this time it was happening right on our own soil. And one of our daughters lives very near Ground Zero and we were both concerned about her safety. We called and she told us she was OK, which made us feel better about her being so close. Both of us went to work and the whole day was a blur, Everyone was talking about what had happened and what was coming next. I am so proud to be an American and proud of the way we have handled ourselves throughout the last year. This has brought our country closer together and more aware that we are the most fortunate beings on earth.
