Tell us your story: on september 11, 2001 i was headed for school when i rushed down stairs and found the tv on cnn and at that moment i saw the second plane hit. the newscaster started screaming and i sat there with a blank look on my face trying to figure out if what i was watching was fact or fiction. i yelled at my mom and she told me a brief synopsis, but i still didnt' believe her. i left for school and all of my friends were in a panic trying to figure out what was going to happen next. i went to chemistry and found the tv on and everyone in my class gathered around with their eyes glued telling people to be quiet so that they could get the whole story. the intercom beeped and our principal came on telling us to resume with class. unfortunatly our teacher did, however it was the topic of conversation all day. even though new york is so far away from texas it was just as scary because i know people in new york. people who are close to me and people that i love. it was an awful gut feeling that swarmed my stomach all day. it helped america realize that we are united we stand, but it took an awful attack to make us realize it.
