Tell us your story: On September 11, 2001 I was on my way to the doctor's office when I heard the news on the radio that the first plane had crashed into the WTC. When I got to the doctor's office and went into the waiting room, they had the TV on and I watched as the horrible day unfolded. My mom was coming from work to meet me at the doctor. When she walked in I just threw my arms around her and told her how much I loved her. We held each other for a long time. My heart and prayers go out to all the people who lost someone due to the attacks. I thank God every day for the men and women who are fighting for our freedom. We are the true winners in this war because we have shown the terrorists that they cannot destroy us or our nation and we will not stand back and watch this all happen. As I look back on the past year and see how much our nation has come together and how much patriotism has grown, I can't help but wonder "How can we not be SO Proud to be an American?"
