Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: September 11, 2001 was suppose to be an ordinary day, with numerous errands to accomplish but instead it turned into a day of disbelief. As I sat glued to my TV watching the horrible scenes play out over and over I felt so afraid. I was so far from either New York or Washington or Pennslyvannia yet I felt as though I was there with those people, feeling their fear, disbelief, shock. I wanted to gather my children from school and keep them close to me. I cried for those people in New York, on the planes and the firefighters that would never make it out of the towers and for myself-crying that my feeling of safety and security would never be what it once was. I also cried for my children and all the other children who have to face a future now where a spineless enemy may attack other civilian targets without concern and they will be the ones called upon to defend this freedom that we all hold dear.
