911DA Story: Story

It was a beautiful summer day and as I was driving to the office. I decided to not have the radio on. I arrived at office and one of my co-workers told me in the parking lot what had happened. I couldn't believe it, however after entering the door I saw both secretaries crying and glanced at the television in their office. Within a few minutes I saw the second plane hit the World Trade Center. Being a veteran of combat in Vietnam, old feelings suddenly washed over me. However the same strength and faith that sustained me in another war, where the enemy would also cowardly hide and kill innocent civilians also was present. After a short prayer, I called my wife, told her to pray and that I was okay. Although I saw the atrocity from afar I knew then and know now that on this first anniversary of terrors tragic and cowardly act WE SHALL PREVAIL! Daniel Dale Clark.
