Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I took the train as I had been doing for over a year, ever since my brother had talked me into working in the City, 15 months earlier. I worked for American Express onsight doing VIP Corporate Travel for Marsh & Mclennan Companies. My brother was a SR. VP. and worked at the Trade Center. While on my trip in, the first plane hit before I left the train station. I came out and walked 34th Street to the 6th Avenue subway. When I came up everything seemed quiet, but the second plane had hit Tower 2. As I was going into my building at 6th and 46th, Marsh's Main Office, I got a call from my son telling me that the Trade Center had been hit. I really thought he was crazy, but I said wait til I get in and see. At my elevator bank one of the kids I knew said that it was true. My legs almost went out from under me and 2 kind gentlemen help me to my office on the 25th floor. It was all true. My team leader Janet Dunn came in and we drew up a list of everyone with phone numbers. By 10AM we knew we had lost 11 friends and collegues who woerked on the 94th floor of Tower 1. It was amaxzing how every one just pulled together. We walked to the other side of the building. There was a tv in a little office, I looked. When I turned my head and saw the towers, I could not believe what I was seeing. I knew from where the smoke was that if my brother was there he would never come home again. I lost my brother, 11 friends and 300 people that I helped with travel. I learned that day that life is very precious. Live it. Enjoy it. I have nothing but praise for American Express and Mr Ken Chenault. I was treated with kindness and sympathy. Also Marsh was great. I had people to talk to and a lot of kindness and understanding from them also. My brother John Rig will live in my heart forever. My friends that I lost are also prayed for and missed.
