Tell us your story: During the morning of 9/11 my husband and I were sleeping in our bedroom in our apartment.----The telephone rang at about 6:30 a.m. and it was my mother saying to turn on the television right away. The remote was by my side and I turned on the television to see the first hit WTC in smoke. Then Tom Brokaw anounced there were other plans missing out of radar and I saw the next building hit. This was horrifying. The whole thing was horrifying.----------I have been to the Towers very often in my life and worked on Wall Street and know the area very well.(I grew up on Long Island)------------------Looking at the updates on the local news everyone in Northern California where my husband and I were living was to "shelter in place"----------a brother of my high school freind, Lenore Bonomo, was a Fireman did not make it out alive.-----------I knew of some people in the Financial Industry who also "passed on".-----------------------A church was on the corner of the block we lresided on at the time and everyone "poured" in to the church including me.
