Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: When I awoke on september 11th, the day held so much excitement for me. It was my 40th birthday. I headed off to work, anxious to start the day, so i could return home to celebrate my day with my family.I am a two year cancer survivior, i have learned how short life can be.It was 9:00 a.m when my husband had called to tell me a plane had hit the world trade center. i just could not comprehend what he was telling me. It took a series of telephone conversations for it to sink in.By the time i had returned home the thought of celebrating was so far from my mind.I have never in my life have experienced such soorow for the lives lost on that day. As a nation, i felt a lose of innocense.Our world as we have known for so long has changedThere were and are so many heros that day. some whom survived and some who did not.I hope our nation once again will find peace. And the families who lost so much. my heart goes out to them all.When i awoke today,septeber11th 2002, i felt that sorrow again. I realized today all those lives lost would want myself and all the other september 11th babies to celebrate life.Lite a candle in memory of those lives lost.
