Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: That morning, while on my regular commute taking Toll Road, I was listening to the radio and couldn't find a station was playing music. All of the dj's were talking, and finally I gave up and listened. As soon as I realized what was going on I became very worried for our country. As soon as I got to work I called my friends and family to make sure they were alright. My mother and father worked for United Airlines, my little sister is an army reservist and I know many people in the services and I couldn't help but think of them and their families because I knew they would be directly affected. September was a very busy month for my company and everyone had tons of work to complete, but nothing got done that day. We all listened to NPR and checked various news websites for updates. We were allowed to leave work early, but I stayed until 7 because I needed to keep from thinking about what had happened that morning. In the weeks that followed, my older sister was laid off and my younger sister was forced to wear rubber gloves when sorting mail at work. I haven't changed my routines. When I travel, I plan on flying the friendly skies as always. I feel no anger towards those of middle-eastern decent. In terrible situations I try to look for a silver lining. I feel so proud each time I see a flag on someone's car or in their front lawn. I think of the courage of the passengers whenever a plane passes over head.
