Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I am from Brooklyn, NY, and I had just joined the Marines. After completing my 13 weeks of basic training, we were required to go to Infantry school for two weeks. I reported to the training camp on September 4th. The following week, that Tuesday; September 11th, we were informed that two commercial planes had destroyed the World Trade Center. I didn't even know what to think...my stepmother worked with the same airline; United Airlines (thank goodness she wasn't on the plane), but she did know a couple of the stewardesses though. May they rest in peace. Anyway, my grandmother was also in NY. I couldn't think really...and seeing that I had just joined the Armed Forces..I didn't know if they were gonna send us out or what, (I'm female, they don't usually send us out)..but sometimes, you never know. It was just so crazy. What a way to hit a country hard. May God bless, rest and save the souls and be with the relatives of those lost.
