Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I am a preschool teacher and was teaching in Morehead City NC at the time of the attacks on our nation. When I arrived at work at 9 am that morning, I thought that it was going to be a normal day at work. Little did I know that within the next few hours, I would hear the stories about what had been done. One of the teachers that I worked very closely with and became friends with, was married to a guy who is in the Marines. She came into my room hysterically crying and telling me bits and pieces of what had happened. I did not realize then how bad and horrifying the tragedy really was. All day I listened to the radio and heard the rumors but it wasn't until I got home that evening that everything sunk in. I had not seen the news or a photograph or any evidence until I got home. As soon as I turned on the televisioin and saw a plane fly into a building on purpose, I became scared and panicked. It is very hard for me to understand why a group of people could Americans so much that they would do this. To study how to fly and then prepare themselves to die is very hard to understand. I have always been afraid to fly even though I do it all of the time, but I have to admit that now it is worse. I can see myself and the plane plummeting to earth and almost put myself into the position of all of those people. The people who boarded a plane that day to travel, do business, take a vacation, and whatever else they were doing, had no idea that it would be their last time. And the people who went into work at the World Trade Centers that day who suffered and died. My heart goes out to all of the people who died, who lost someone that day, who suffered and may still be suffering. I believe that we will come out on top because we are a great nation and we are bound together to get through this. God Bless America!!
