Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: It was the last day of the 6 days in a row that our crew was required to work. We were all feeling quite good because the 6 days were almost up, and we had 4 days off ahead to look forward to. I, myself was in such a good mood that morning, about 7 am that I was singing a song to myself while working: "America" by Neil Diamond. Upon hearing the news, (by the time all 3 of the attacks had occured) my first reaction was shock and disbelief. Later, at some point, I took out of my wallet a picture of my 4 yr. old niece and my 1 yr. old nephew. I thought of an old song by Queen titled "Is this the World we Created" and thinking, of the children in the photo, "My God, they don't realize what an awful world this is."
